By using LankaShip on the web or in our app, you agree to these terms. Please read them, especially the section on estimates.
1. What LankaShip does
LankaShip is a free, independent tool that compares published postage and courier prices for sending from Sri Lanka. We are not a carrier, an agent of any carrier, or a booking service.
2. Prices are estimates
- Every price shown is an estimate for planning. The carrier's price at the time you send is the price you pay.
- Rates come from carriers' published tariffs and from quotes we collected on the dates shown on our rate methodology page. Carriers can change their prices, surcharges and services at any time without telling us.
- Prices marked Est. are worked out between two prices we collected and may differ from the carrier's actual price.
- Prices usually exclude registration and insurance (unless a row says it includes them), customs duties and taxes, fuel or remote-area surcharges, and charges based on volumetric weight for large, light parcels.
- Delivery times are the carrier's stated estimates, not guarantees. Despatch dates follow the carrier's published schedule and can change, for example on public holidays.
3. Carrier rates and information
Carrier names, service names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to identify whose prices are shown. Their appearance here does not mean the carrier endorses or works with LankaShip. If you are a carrier and want your information updated or removed, contact us.
4. Bookings are made with the carrier
When you send something, your contract is with the carrier you choose, on that carrier's terms. Questions about collection, delivery, tracking, loss, damage, customs or refunds must go to that carrier. LankaShip doesn't handle payments, bookings or claims.
5. Prohibited and restricted items
Each carrier and destination has its own rules about what can be sent. Check them with the carrier before you send. A price shown here doesn't mean an item is allowed.
6. Our responsibility
We work to keep prices accurate and correct mistakes quickly, but we can't guarantee that every price, limit or schedule is complete, current or error-free. To the extent the law allows, LankaShip is not liable for any loss arising from relying on information on this site, including a higher price charged by a carrier, a missed despatch or a delayed delivery.
7. Fair use
You may use LankaShip for your own and your business's shipping decisions. Please don't copy our data in bulk, resell it, or use automated tools to put heavy load on the site.
8. Advertising and links
The site may show advertisements and link to other websites. We aren't responsible for their content or offers.
9. Changes and governing law
We may update these terms; the date at the top shows the latest version. These terms are governed by the laws of Sri Lanka.
